Repurposed Light Fixture Holiday Decor

The Sweet Escape
by The Sweet Escape
You've probably seen these old light fixtures at reclaim shops, garage sales, thrifts shops - they're everywhere. I paid $3 for this one and transformed it into this adorable illuminated holiday scene that looks like a million dollars.
This project looks a little complicated but it really wasn't when you break it down. You just need a screwdriver. The rest of the items I picked up at the dollar store.
Get creative with what you put inside. You can change it up every year! Or you can make a few and make them all a little different, like a village.
This is what the light fixture looked like before I started. My only suggestion is that if you plan on using glitter or snow on the base, as I did, be sure to look for a fixture where the glass goes all the way to the base so there's no space.
The battery operated lights add such a pretty touch. I just hid the battery pack underneath the base of the fixture. It really looks like something you picked up at a store.
