Weave fabric, leather or ribbons through the wood and use as a window treatment or privacy screen. The wood and metal parts can be painted to coordinate. Suspend from the ceiling, treat it like a canopy over your bed. Add some soft lighting. Hang mosquito netting from it. For Christmas: weave garland and lights through the wood. Hang ornaments from the garland

Use it as a display for pictures, favorite recipes or memos utilizing clothes pins to hold it. Could also use hooks to hold cans for flowers, kitchen utensils, pens & pencils. Use outside to hang a variety of potted herbs & flowers. Too many ideas to write them all down! Lol

Aside from all Bev's wonderful ideas, I would use it to shade my camellias. We live in AZ and one of my bushes is constantly sunburned. Or a privacy screen on our porch, or a privacy screen in our front yard or a gate in our fence, or a partition in a child's room to separate two children. Or A room divider in a master suite to separate the bed area from the reading area. Or...

Back it with muslin fabric and use it as a room divider. You could hang different seasonal art from the rungs.

Being that it supported the weight of a bed and people, it can probably hand quite a bit of weight. Attach chains at the corners and hang from the studs in your garage. You can then place storage items up top of the floating shelf. Boxes of Christmas decorations, and stuff you don't use year round is a great idea! Or you hang it outside from tree branches and place lights on it like a pergola!

Cut out the wood and put frame to recycle. Being in a flat, you will have many more options for just the wood. If you have an outdoor space, lean against a wall and hook potted plants on it.

@B so true...lack of space is the main problem when you want to do things like this...
