Beautiful and Easy Christmas Card Display

If someone cares enough to send a "for real" Christmas card (especially in these days of ecards and texting), it deserves to be displayed where it can be enjoyed. So for the past few years I figured out a way to display my Christmas cards so that I can always look at them and think of all my caring friends and family. I take a beautiful long piece of Christmas ribbon (the "wired" ribbon works best), roll it around my hand, then nail it to the wood moulding and let it uncurl, coming down. I then start stapling the Christmas cards from the top down. What a beautiful way to display these treasured cards. (I think this would also be a nice way to display old Christmas photos as well!)
I used the skinny white "finishing nails" to hang the wired Christmas ribbon from the moulding and put a nice ornament at the top. After Christmas, I leave the nails up so they will be ready for next year!
I put up the ribbon where there is empty space on the wall. It looks pretty just by itself even without the Christmas cards!
I already have 2 strings of ribbon filled with Christmas cards! By the time Christmas comes, I usually have all of the ribbons full!
I then start stapling the Christmas cards from the top down. I center the card on the ribbon with the left point up. I staple the card from the inside so that I am still able to open the card to read it.
I can look at the cards and read them anytime I like. Love it!
