DIY Dress-up Closet

Custom upcycled hutch turned cute dress-up closet.
A customer wanted something special for her daughter for Christmas and really wanted a dress-up closet.
I started with the top half of a step-back butch.
Removed all the glass and doors, shelves and hardware.
Built a new top and reinforced the new base adding small bun feet.
Built new shelves and the area for the closet with a hanging bar for clothes and dresses.
Because this is for a child, I cut new panels for the doors with 1/4" plywood. Then stenciled and painted.
Crown molding and a new bar were installed.
Then the backer board was replaced and covered with craft paper. Doors were moved, hooks added for hanging jewelry and last two safety straps that will screw into the wall to avoid any tipping.
