Backyard upcycling

What you can do to recycle tires and add character to your backyard. I ran across this on the web tonight, and when I have to get new tires I am going to try this.
Info is from this website
A lot have been asking for instructions, I don't have them but Tamara Jansen has posted excellent instructions on a planter she did - Thanks Tamara :)

Ooooo!!! Great Idea!!! Like above, Don't plant veggies you plan to eat in tires!!! Tires release toxic fumes and are made with chemicals you Don't want to EAT!!! Home Depot and other stores have precut circles that are less than $10 each for this size. I love the idea of using old BBQ grills for the bottom, then weed barrier cloth, dirt and then plants or grass. I think you could cut plywood or 1-2 in wood (recycled pallet wood maybe?) Under tire to attach legs to screw to. Attach tire leave space inside empty to use as storage, then put a circle of wood or even a glass or plexi circle for the top as a table! Or make cushion on one side of the wood circle and flip it over for a table.🙂 We are building a patio this summer. I'll be looking for old tires!!! I already have dumpster dived wrought iron side tables, doing a country/farm/modern style with wood, black and white color scheme with Pops of color and plants around. My grandkids will love having stools to sit on and jump on too. Very Cool!!!

I would never use them for food, just plants, or like this one grass with legs for stools.
