Come find out how you can personalize your cushion covers like Cait from Little City Farmhouse did with this rustic deer silhouette in Vanilla Frosting!
Hello Country Chic Paint readers!

I am popping in today to share with you a fun project that was a first for me – painting on fabric! After watching County Chic’s tutorial on painting fabric, I decided I needed to give it a whirl!

For this project, I whipped up a pillow cover, but you could definitely use a store-bought pillow for this. Once it was sewn, I made sure it was smooth and laying flat on the table. I slipped a piece of card stock inside the pillow just in case any paint decided to bleed through (and none did!).
I marked the center of the stencil and lined it up straight on the pillow cover, and pressed it down nice and flat, making sure to really press down all the edges. I used a stencil brush to paint in a dabbing motion. I used Vanilla Frosting in the all-in-one paint.

Once I built up a nice layer of paint, I peeled off the stencil. I let the paint thoroughly dry before stuffing my pillow into it!
The possibilities are endless! I know it won’t be the last fabric painting project I do!
