Easy Party Hats From Leftover Christmas Ornaments

I had some extra mini disco ball ornaments that I'd purchased to top some of my presents (they looked really cute that way, by the way). I knew the extra ones would be great to incorporate into New Year's Eve somehow. This is what I came up with.
These hats are each about 4 inches tall--aren't the disco balls on top just perfect!
In my post I have a link to the Cricut file I used to cut the hat shapes out of cardstock in just the right shape and size.
Here's what my ornaments looked like when I pulled out the hanging tab. It even made a little hole perfect for hot glue and the tip of the hat!
Use hot glue to secure the tab in the slot of the hat and add the disco ball to the top. Then you can do what you want to it--glue it to the top of a clip, a headband, or poke holes in the bottom to add string or elastic thread to keep it on heads.

Don't forget, there's a Cricut file in the blog link below.

Happy New Year's!
