Ikea Billy Bookcase Hack

Hacked a set of Ikea Billy Bookcases to create a built in bookcase. We removed the standard white backs and replaced them with aged cedar (oxidized with vinegar). Then all the bookcases were trimmed out and painted white.

Beautiful! So you were able to paint the Billy bookcases! Good to know; I thought they were laminate.

The crown molding along the top and the added baseboard are very nice touches. You might consider adding some doors. Not everything needs to be out in the open.
