I use a green kitchen scrubbie and some citrus based cleaner, If I am going to do some painting this will get rinsed well then followed up with some TSP and more rinsing.
Won't the scrubbie scratch surfaces? What is TSP seems I've heard of it but not sure? Does this work on wood too?
Vinegar works wonders! Here's a post I wrote about it. :) http://askannamoseley.com/2012/06/how-to-remove-grease-splatters/
Thanks never thought of that. Vinegar is a mild acid.
I just used dishwasher detergent and the regular plastic scrub sponge and it came off pretty easily. Use more water than you would use to clean a counter and you can wipe it off after the scrubbing. I did this behind the stove on the wall and the appliance and the cabinet sides.
TSP is Trisodium Phosphate, a cleaning product.
I haven't tried this but I have heard that oil removes oil. Try using oil (like vegetable or olive) to rub grease off of appliances (like a store or range hood). .
