Nancy are you deciding which paint company to use are you working on the color palette?
Behr and Valspar are good and reasonable. Sherwin Williams is the best my personal opinion. Grey's are the new neutrals if you are looking for a neutral color to start with. Are there any pic you can post to see the colors of the rest of the space?
I have a friend who is also a Hometalker who does virtual color consulting:

Also, color visualizers can really help. Like Yamini, I also really like Sherwin-Williams, but be sure to buy the paint at S-W stores. I have gone to Lowes with S-W codes, and they mixed the completely wrong color. I didn't realize the problem until I needed a second can of paint and I got a completely different (and nicer) color that was actually the one I had picked with a friend.
Anyhow, here is the S-W color visualizer. You can load photos of your room, then add any color that seems interesting. You will still want to get a little sample can and check the color in real life. It always looks different on screen:

Hi, Nancy. Here is a link to a whole bunch of posts about choosing paint colors for various rooms. If you have pictures, as Becky Sue says, that will help! http://www.hometalk.com/?filter=what+color+to+paint&search=posts
