Faux Stained Glass Window
Gallery glass paints, paint brushes, four picture frames, extra hanging hardware and coloring book pages are all that you need to attempt this project! It's not hard at all and I wanted to use up the paints before they became unusable because they have been here for years!
Four Wooden Picture Frames
The extra hardware I purchased to join all four frames together.
Not all that pretty but it works to hold them together, the hanging hardware was moved also since they will hang now as one frame.
Front view isn't so bad, it clearly looks like a window frame. However if I attempt this again I'll buy thicker frames and create a shabby look to imitate the vintage window look.
These are the colors of paint I had available to use in the Gallery Glass brand.
Wipe the glass with rubbing alcohol the place it over your coloring book page and trace over all of the outlines to create your stained glass pattern.
This is how it looks once painted, I did a frame for each season and thought this back to school scene was perfect for Fall!
Here are the four scenes I used to represent the four seasons all completed and ready to hang.
I hung it in my laundry room to brighten the space and also because there isn't a window in there! This was my first attempt at this sort of project so there's a lot of room for improvement and modifications.
