Wilson lock

The Wilson lock on out door is not working properly - sometimes it locks and sometimes not sometime it will open with the code and sometimes not. There is a green light on , on the inside that just appeared. We have no instructions as they were not here with the house when we purchased it . Suspect maybe it needs a batter Anybody know anything about these locks, Please ? sorry It is a Weiser lock not a wilson

That's no good. If this is a security concern, call Weiser customer service ASAP rather than trying to troubleshoot this.

Check out this web link for working with this lock. http://safeandlock.com/residential-locksmiths/residential-hardware/2-weiser-powerbolt The thumb latch extends the length of the deadbolt into the door. From what I understand when this is done, the key-less pad will not operate for additional security. IN any case batteries are only good for about one year. In addition they suggest that you change your code as over time the buttons become worn leaving no doubt what keys need to be pressed to open. Its lowers the number of possible codes at that point that need to be entered before the door will open.

Thanks for the info. We did figure this out -the back snaps off easily and a simple replacement of the 4 AA batteries did the trick
