How to Make a Faux Roman Blind

1 Hour
Easy
This is my simple answer to making a faux roman blind. Just cut, hem and fold in the pleats for a crisp roman blind.
First do the measuring - how wide is your window? Add the seam allowances and the additional width for any overhang on the sides.
Next determine your length. I like to measure the window and divide it by 1/3rd. Add seam allowances to the top and bottom and 1.5" for each pleat.
Stitch along the edges and vertically down the middle to secure the pleats
The finished product: crisp and neat roman shade.
