Best way to clean up lumber that's been stored for a while?
Hubby bought all the materials to build a covered deck (mostly treated lumber) and it has been stored in piles for a couple of years. What is the best way to clean it up? We've got a power washer but don't know if diluted bleach is the best way to go. Any suggestions?
As long as the framing material is not warped or twisted you can use it as it is. If you are planing to use the PT for the decking itself an oxygen based deck cleaner can be used...here it might make the work easier once the decking is laid...I have been using the deck products from Penofin for many many years, http://www.penofin.com/products_wood_stripper.shtml#woodcleaner
