Paper Fortune Cookie DIY Perfect for Valentine's Day!

My husband and I give our kids small, little gifts for Valentine's Day each year. I had the idea of creating paper fortune cookies as a way of leaving short love notes to accompany their gift bags. Seems like the perfect since both kids love eating fortune cookies. Although not edible, they will sure be big hits!

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Gather Supplies.

- Scrapbook paper

- Glue Dots (double-sided tape works too)

- Scissors

- Round object for tracing (4 inch in diameter objects work best).

- Pencil or pen
2) Place your round object on the blank side of your paper.
3) Once traced, proceed to cut circle out.
4) Lightly fold the circle in half and ONLY make a light crease in the center (this makes shaping the cookie easier). Do not crease the entire fold.
5) Hold paper like below image and gently push in the crease with your index finger.
6) Fold paper until it looks like a fortune cookie. Place glue dot in the center of the fold (as pictured below).
7) Get your sweet notes ready. (For ideas, click on my blog post below).

Tuck these notes inside the cookies and this project is all complete!
Although they are made out of paper, these "cookies" truly are the next best things! When I shared this craft with my readers and my friends, so many people wanted to make them for their family!

I realize that the paper would be thinner but what about just using themed cupcake papers? Or double them! They’re cheap and would take a lot less time cutting out the circles! 😊😊😊
