How to Turn a $5.00 Chair Into a Beautiful Home Accent!

I usually make a couple of trips a week to my local habitat re-store, looking for something I can revamp, I eyeballed this beauty right away but there was a couple looking at her with a sparkle in their eye! I watched patiently as they talked about her wobbly legs & weak back, so I'm thinking for 5 bucks even if you cut it up for firewood, she's a steal! They walked away & in a nanosecond she was mine!!!!
When I got her home I stripped her down & went to work! I removed the material from the seat & just took a cleaning solution to the back. She was wobbly but I tighten the screws & she was as strong as the day she was made!
I had some beautiful material left over from a previous project that I thought would really hi-lite the mahogany wood. I stapled the material to the seat, & then sanded the scratches on the wood, then re-stained in the original stain color.
The back of the chair was impossible to remove without harming the wood so I sprayed fabric adhesive, placed my material on & hot glued the edges. I then took a decorative rope & also attached that around the outside with hot glue.
Now she's back where she belongs, in the warm comfort of my home & not hiding in somebody's basement! We were meant to be together!
