Is sisal or sea grass better for a rug?

    Its my understanding that Sisal is more durable...I'm assuming your considering this for an outdoor application?

    I really want to use it in my den.... I had heard that sisal stains more and isn't as soft as sea grass...

    Sisal is lot rougher...hence the durability.. Have you looked in to Wool rugs? this is one between my office area and the bottom of our stairs

  • Sea grass is a little more stain resistant than sisal.

    Personally, to heck with the rug ~~ I love the picture of the dog on the oriental rug ~~ that's the way to go! Regarding Sisal rugs, they are very scratchy -- something a kitty may enjoy! Not welcoming for bare feet.
