Patriotic Scrapbook Paper Map Door Hanger
While out shopping a saw a painting of the map of the United States in which each state was painted with a different pattern. I really liked it and decided to make one with a patriotic spin so that I could display it for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
First I picked out some patriotic looking scrapbook papers.
Then I printed a map of the United States onto each of the papers.
Next I cut out states from varying papers and tried to put them together in a way that was fun and visually appealing.
I painted a scrap piece of wood in a nice navy and positioned the stated onto the board. I then used modge podge to glue the states down.
I covered the entire thing with modge podge. I drilled a hole on both the top left anf top right so that I could attach a piece of jute twine to hang it.
