Wonder Woman Dresser: A Rast Hack

I was challenged to makeover a simple solid wood Ikea Rast Dresser and I knew I wanted to channel my inner super woman.. or rather, my inner WONDER WOMAN.
I thought it would be fun to dress it up with paint and some stencils I cut on my silhouette machine. First I painted the background areas breaking up the drawers into her starred pants, yellow belt and red chest area. Then I cut the outline stencil of the "WW wings" and the stars. I painted those yellow and white respectively. Finally I cut out black permanent vinyl outlines (since they gave me a nice clean finished edge, better than I could get with paint) and stuck those down.
I left the rest of the dresser plain since I really wanted to focus on the paint job. I didn't add hardware either (since you can open the drawers from the bottoms) to keep the front flat and clean.
I love it. It is definitely a of a kind piece!
Plain Ikea Dresser to SUPER HERO DRESSER!
It all started with paint.. and lots of it.
Creating the design and cutting out the stencils. I couldn't have done it without Photoshop and a Silhouette Cameo (details here>> http://bit.ly/KimSixWonderWoman)
