Easy Pillow Cover Tutorial

Our couch came with some pillows that are really nice but the covers were not my taste. They were just more formal and traditional that the rest of our home decor. SO I made some new covers for the pillows and they could not be easier to make.
First I measured the old covers. Then I washed, dried, and ironed the new fabric. I cut my fabric in half lengthwise. I had 1.25 yards of the fabric and cut it into two pieces that were approximately 22 X 51.
I then folded the selvages over on each end and ironed them down. Then I folded each one over a second time and ironed it down a second time.
I sewed along the folds on each end.
Then I laid the fabric on the floor with the right side down. I folded the ends over and positioned them so that the flap on the bottom was near the middle since that would be the one on the outside of the pillow once it was turned right side out.
Then I turned the pillow right side out and put the pillow inside.

I love the fabric, too. Pillows can add so much to a room. Nice!

I don’t sew, can you do this with “no sew” glue?

You could try it! It kind of depends on the fabric so maybe read the instructions to see if there are particular fabrics that work better with the hemming tapes or no sew fabric glues. I know a super heavy or thick fabric would not be as likely to work well.
