My awesome $5 Habitat ReStore Chair


I found this chair at my local Habitat ReStore for $5. I painted it and re-covered it and I love it.

I just knew with a little TLC I could give this chair new life.

When I started taking it apart, I found a tag - it said Lazy Boy!!!!

I wanted something bright and cheery.  I think this fits the bill!

Putting it back together.  I pulled off the vinyl but kept the original foam.  I had to replace the top layer on the chair bottom since there was a hole in it.

I used decorative tacks to put the back on - ugh I know, the tacks are crooked.  I mention a great blog with an amazing tutorial on how to  install these tacks.  Check it  out.

Well, this is the finished chair.  I just love it.  It's so comfy too!
