What can I do with dead vacum cleaners?

I have no room in the house to keep vacuum cleaners. Any ideas?

I'm a bit confused.....you have non functioning vacuum cleaners that you need to dispose of? or you need ideas of how to store the functioning ones? my area has spring and fall clean up days.... anything put at a certain spot at the curb is fair game for picking. some vacuums are picked up for parts to repair other machines. you might want to call a vac repair place to see if your old one can be stripped for parts. storing vac is another issue.. upright or canister vac? some uprights can be stashed in a garage, closet, under stairs, under beds. can vacs are a bit more cumbersome. i've seen my aunt park hers in a clean trash can, lying on its side of course, lid closed with cable tie. - parked next to the back door.

If you have vacuum cleaners that no longer work you can: 1. ask local Sew N Vac shops if they will take it 2. Call Veterans of America and see if they will take it and donate it

I just added hard wood floors to my home and no longer needed my vacuums. I donated them to a local cleaning service.

If they go not work don't donate them to charity. People who shop or take charity items need things that are usable. Please don't toss them in the garbage. Bring them to a recycling center or a vacuum repair to be used for parts.

Cut the hose off and use it to make a wreath. donate the remaining parts to a repair shop. If it has a lot of metal and is heavy, you can take it to metal recycling plant and get a few $$$ for it.
