Add Glamour To Your Flower Pots!

I was recently inspired by the "gold-dipped" trend that is happening right now, and realized that the same could be done to plain ol' flower pots. I've also become a bit obsessed with stenciling, so I combined the two and came up with a very simple and easy way to add a bit of love to your flower pots. A coat of Rustoleum Gold paint and some handy painter's tape-work creates an amazing focal point on your patio. This would also make for great gifts!
I bought two pots at the dollar store, and then gathered my stencils, spray paint, and painter's tape.
To create the "gold-dipped" look, only cover half of the with tape and stencil.
Curved surfaces are hard to navigate: use smaller pieces of tape in order to get a smooth line.
Paint the pieces upside down, so that you get the gold "dip". Mind the bugs. Sigh.
Once you've painted and sealed the pieces, bring them indoors to admire!
Look at how fancy! And for only the cost of paint and some vinyl!
Wouldn't these make great gifts?
