If so what are the pros and cons? I am thinking for my sunroom instead of using propane.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I remember this discussion from a while back: http://www.hometalk.com/activity/77029

My husband sells sunrooms and sometimes the extra rooms are heated or cooled with small in-the-wall units like you might see in Europe.

IMHO they are safer than propane, but no matter what it says on the box or what a salesperson tells you, a portable electric heater is limited to 1500 watts and will only produce approximately 5200 BTU's which will only supplement the heating system of a 12 X 15 ft room. And as stated above, it may overload your circuits.
