How to Install a Bicycle Lift

$10
.5 Hours
Easy
We installed a bike lift to store our daughter's bicycle and make more room in our garage.
First, we measured her bike, from the handbags to the back of the seat. These are where the bike lift will hold on to the bike.
We attached the 2 metal pulleys to a 2X4 board the same distance apart as the handlebars and seat.
We place the board with the pulleys in the rafters of our garage and attached it to the rafters.
Then we threaded the rope through the pulley wheels and the hooks.
The bicycle lift is simple and easy enough for our 8-year-old daughter to raise and lower her own bike.
