Take two license plates and add some plumbing bits for an easy industrial style lamp.
License Plate Lamp
All you need are 2 license plates, some brackets, an electrical light fitting, a four way PVC box, some plumbing bits, a pipe and spray paint.
What you need
Making the lamp shade
Bend the license plates using a piece of wood. Place the license plates together and attach using brackets and a pop rivet.
Making the base of the lamp
The thread on the galvanized elbows are a perfect fit for the PVC box, simply twist them in to form a sturdy base for the lamp. Screw the pipe into the base and spray the base with Rust-oleum Metallic spray paint. Attach the base to the lamp shade and wire up.

Love this. What watt bulb did you use? Concerned about the metal and heat.

A lamp any teenager would be happy to have, especially if the license plate was from his first car. Also great for a man-cave.

Wouldn't that be lovely Linda. My so is still driving his first car but I'll remember that for the day he sells it. Great idea
