It’s my personal belief that if the name of a DIY project rhymes, it is destined to be born and it is our duty to bring it forth into the craft universe.
So today, I present: Geometric Heart DIY Wall Art. Behold!
Is it Valentine's Day decor? Could be. Handmade nursery art for a design-conscious baby? Likely. An inexpensive way to add a little visual serotonin to your blank walls? For sure. Hello,
Popsicle sticks are so unassuming on their own, but when they pair up with their buddies Glue and Wood Stain, they become the ingredients for some graphic, modern DIY art.
SUPPLIES:

popsicle sticks (about 95 of them)

wood stain (I used Minwax Dark Walnut.)

pink acrylic paint

two paintbrushes for the stain and one for the paint

rag to wipe off stain

tacky glue

toothpick to apply glue (optional)

heart template (downloadable on my blog)
I created a free downloadable template to make lining up the sticks a little easier. (Visit the blog link below to download it.)
You'll also find a guide for how many sticks to stack for each heart "wall."
When your hearts are built, simply paint and stain them.
When all three hearts are good and dry, use additional popsicle sticks to attach them together.

Check out the blog post to download the free printable template and for more detailed instructions.
