DIY Vintage Mirrors~Anthropologie Inspired

When I decided to do a grouping of vintage mirrors but didn't want to buy them, I found this process that quickly makes a cheap mirror look like a beautiful vintage find...
This project is a big bang for your buck! DIY beautiful vintage look mirrors...
Here is my grouping of (faux) vintage mirrors, most of them I found at thrift stores for super cheap!
The first step is using Paint Stripper on the back of the mirror...after it soaks in a little, scrape off the stripper and the coat of paint covering the back ...
Next use a little Muriatic Acid--let sit of a minute--(When you use Muriatic Acid you have to be very careful, more info. about Muriatic Acid in the tutorial on my blog)
Now, quickly rinse off in an outside area...
Lastly, add a piece of vintage fabric or even scrapbook paper with spray adhesive to the back of the mirror...Some of the mirror finish is left behind, so you see a beautiful mix of the mirror and your fabric...
