Need to choose a paint color?

3po3 on Jan 28, 2012That's pretty cool. I just tried it with a random web image, and it seemed to work pretty nicely. Photoshop and Illustrator have been able to "color sample" for years. Not sure why a paint company didn't think to use the same technology a long time ago. If you are using your own images, it is really important to use the right lighting and make sure your computer is fairly well-calibrated. if the colors are off in the photo, it will throw the color chips way off.Helpful Reply

Yamini LEED AP at Urbanmotifs on Jan 30, 2012SW and BMW have their color app that helps choose colors after you take a pic with your iPhone. Very cool app, help match existing paint color when you don't know the name.Helpful Reply
