Does anyone know what this plant is?

This is an evergreen perennial tree/shrub. I don't remember planting it and I have two in my side border. They get lovely red berries that last for months. The leaves are rusty green most of the year. One is about 2 feet tall and the other is about 3 feet. I would love to know what it is.

This bush is called Nandina, also called Heavenly Bamboo. We have them everywhere because they are so hearty and beautiful all year long. We love the brilliant red leaves and berries in the Fall and the various shades of greens in the Spring and Summer. We have some that are over 7'. They grow and multiply like crazy. Because of the upkeep along our walkway, hubby and I moved them to create some privacy between our neighbor's yard. You can't go wrong with this beautiful shrub. The berries, however, are poisonous except to birds. When you trim, avoid cutting the white flowers because they become berries in the Fall. Also, birds love building their nests in these shrubs, so be careful when you trim or decide to cut them way back. Dwarf Nandina makes a beautiful everlasting! I picked some in late Fall of 2016, once the foliage turned it's red color, and placed them in a vase with water. Pretty sure I only re-watered a couple of times, then I allowed it to dry in the vase. It did so well, over a year later, it still looks lovely in the same vase, and adds a nice red burst of color to the room it's in. I'm in the process of drying more, to be used for 2016 fireplace mantel Christmas decor.

Yes, I have some. Nandina. Really nice plants, but they multiply like crazy, kinda like cane. Very hard to get removed also. If you like it, keep it trimmed up and you will have a beautiful area of Nandina.
