can i still buy 100 watt incandescent light bulbs anywhere or are they not being manufactured anymore?

You may still find them in a few stores, but manufacturing and phasing out began a couple years ago. What don't you just use CFL or LED?

They have extended the manufacturing of standard bulbs. Its an election year. But as Yamini stated you should be considering going with the CFL or ideally LED lights. Bit more expensive, but last a whole lot longer.

The enforcement ban on the 100 watt lamp has been delayed due to budget cuts to the Dept. on Energy. They are still available until at least the end of 2012
