Repurposed Handy Dandy Bird Seed Scooper Duper

Good news! I'm no longer a klutz when it comes to filling the bird feeders.
This is a really simple (and probably obvious) idea but it sure took me along time to think of it!
1. Cut the bottom off a large, plastic pop/soda bottle. Keep the cap/lid on.
2. Use the bottle as a scoop to gather bird seed from the bag.
3. Remove the cap, and the bottle acts a funnel over the bird feeder, neatly filling it with seed. This is particularly helpful with narrow tube feeders like the one you see here.

PS: Do you say 'pop' or 'soda'?
I cut the bottom off using a serrated kitchen knife to start the hole and scissors to clip the rest off.

Some might think it's just a pop bottle but we know better!

Great idea. I am such a mess when filling my feeders. Even if I take them off the pole to fill them I'm known to knock them over and scatter seeds all over my porch.

I get a lot of my supplies from recycling bins on garbage pick up day. :)
