Home Office Organization: DIY Corkboard

Laura Bray
by Laura Bray
Take a boring cork board and turn it into a source of organization and encouragement to reach your business goals. You can find tons of inspiring accessories to use on your cork board in the scrapbook section of your local craft store.
Using acrylic craft paint and stencils, paint a chevron pattern on a plain cork board. Dress up the edge of the boring frame of your cork board by cutting 1" strips of decorative, scrapbook paper and gluing them to the frame of the cork board.
Using decorative paper and chalkboard stickers, create places on the cork board to keep your goals organized. I divided my cork board to reflect the three income areas I want to keep focused on for my craft design business: my blog, teaching, and illustration.
Use scrapbook kit papers, quotes, and envelopes to inspire and keep your paperwork organized.

Small envelopes can be used to tuck away receipts for each of your income goals.
