I Started With a Pack of $6 Shot Glasses. Guess What I Made!

20 Minutes
Easy
Oh my goodness. I love pretty things but they don't half cost a lot! That's why, despite being teetotal, I found myself buying a $6 pack of shot glasses recently...
Have you seen how much candle stick holders cost?! The cheapest (modern) set I've managed to find cost $40, which is approximately $20 more than I'm willing to spend!
I know I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but seriously? They weren't even real gold.
But do you know what is super cheap and three times as lovely as a candle holder? Some gold leaf and a pack of $6 shot glasses! I love the elegance of long taper candles, and my DIY version of those candlestick holders I saw in the store will do perfectly!
Do you believe we can turn these bits and bobs into a stunning set of candle stick holders?
Start by painting the insides of the shot glasses with gold leaf size.
When it's dry, press the gold leaf onto the glass.
Tape over the glass, ready for the spray paint...
This is what they look like when they're finished. Aren't they stunning?!
You can go a step further and add even more decoration, if you like.
