I have a small concreted backyard. Behind my back yard and on the side of my house, I have huge overgrown oak trees. The oak trees are growing over my house!! As a result i and constantly constantly cleaning leaves and I keep finding armies of red ants!! I've checked with the city to see what I can do, they said nothing. I've requested my neighbor cut his tree back, he won't. Is ther something I can built to redirect the leaves and save my backyard so i can enjoy it? By the way, I have a very large dog, so use of a gardener is out of the question. thanks for any and all suggestons. Help!!

Not sure if you can in your area but we can cut any neighbors trees hanging over on to our property.

Try a licensed arborist, they should be able to tell you what you can and can't do. Possibly you and your neighbor could come to a compromise on paying for the services in the best interest of the trees and shade from the summer sun.
