Refreshed Garden Terracotta Critters

by Lizy McGow
We all have Gnomes, ducks, fairies or in my case turtles decorating our gardens or somewhere in a corner around our house. I decided to give them a makeover bringing spring to my indoors and front porch. A little bit of white primer to prepare the surface for painting, acrylic paints and whatever your imagination comes up with will give these critters a whole new look. Mine will go out on my covered porch so I'm not worried about April showers, but if yours are going to be out in the elements, use more glass beads, plastic flowers or just plain paint!
Prime your critter first
Decorate using paint, inexpensive glass beads and twine.
Living in an apartment with no garden, no problem! Bring mother nature inside decorating your critter with flowers.
Paint and fabric appliques, this little one would be perfect for mom or grandma on mother's day.
The final product is parade of pretty Refreshed Terracotta Critters.
Happy Spring!
