Make a Centerpiece From a Slice of Wood and Some Bottles

Add something special to any occasion with this eye-catching, easy-to-make centerpiece. Just grab some empty bottles that are all the same size and a gorgeous slice of wood. Honestly the most difficult thing about making this centerpiece is sanding the the wood slice.
We found our slice on the side of the road and it was a bit warped so we had to use a mouse sander so we could get into all the little dips.
Once we finished sanding, we gave the wood slice a coat of "food safe" varnish for protection and then we grabbed some equally sized empty bottles.
Put the three bottles on a level surface and place the slice of wood on top. Carefully position the slice of wood on the three bottles and test if it's stable - our Cleo offered to test it out for us. If kitty falls off, you'll need to give her a cuddle and then re-arrange the bottles. Hopefully she'll still be willing to help out.
Drill three holes using a hole saw and then push the bottles into the holes. Add some lavender to keep the flies away and your centerpiece is ready.
