Using Up Cycled Fence Wood to create this Queen headboard & Bedside Table.

Carol's daughter asked for a rustic headboard her Christmas present. After a little shopping around, Randy (her dad) knew it was easy enough to make & would be a very special gift to make for her. And boy, did it come out beautiful.
For list of supplies, instructions and many more pictures please come to our original blog post. Plus, we share how to make the adorable matching hanging side table too.

most of the diy headboards I’ve seen do this method unless you want a flat surface then you can wood glue them all together and clamp until the glue dries (however, this wouldnt leave any 1/8”-1/4” gaps in between each board like seen in most of the headboards like this.) Then you just sand the boards smooth and any glue runs that might have came through.

Benny, you could always hang the lights on the ropes of the table, if you dont like them on the headboard?
