How to put some small items in a shadow box without gluing???

i want to put antique items in a Shaow Box but I don't want to glue them to keep them in place. Any suggestions??? The items are small, and light. They are old fashioned hair styling clips~so kinda bulky ;)Thanks, Bridget

I had some vintage jewelry to put in a shadow box and also didn't wan to glue them in. I covered a piece of cardboard with velvet(I like the look of velvet with vintage items) After I decided where to put the items I used a large needle to poke 2 holes fairly close to each other through the velvet and cardboard. At this point use either a matching color of heavy thread or very thin elastic and thread it through the holes and tie in the back, you can now hang the clips on the thread or elastic. You can also "sew" the thread through the clips to secure them on tight. Hope you can follow my directions :)
