Cupid's Arrow Tutorial

Today's project is a fun craft for anyone. I really enjoyed making these cupid's arrows using paper straws and pretty scrapbook paper, but kids at home or in a classroom may find this enjoyable too.
What you need:

Scrapbook paper (in my case, gold glitter, pink and red)

Paper straws

Heart punch

Paper trimmer

Scissors

Glue gun
Directions:

I made 5 arrows, so the first thing I did was punch out five hearts using the Fiskers scalloped heart punch. You can use any heart punch you like, but nothing too small. My hearts are about 1 1/2 inches wide and I wouldn't go smaller than that. I then trimmed pieces of gold paper to about 3 x 1 1/4 inches to make the feathers.
To make a feather, first cut the bottom in a wide "v". Cut the top in a narrower "v". Then, apply diagonal cuts along one side, turn it over, and do it all over again making sure there are a same number of cuts on both sides.
The final step is to glue the hearts and feathers to the straws. You can purchase paper straws from most craft and party stores. I've even seen them at Target and Walmart.
This fun project takes no more than a few minutes to complete. If you follow the steps here instead of making them one at a time, you'll get more arrows out of your time.
Thanks for following along! Have a great day :)
