Vintage Valentine Wall Art

I belong to a group of ladies that like to challenge each other to make something new out of their recycled or found "junk". I love trying to come up with great ideas for things that would otherwise be thrown out or forgotten. This month our challenge was "hearts" in honor of Valentine's Day.
I was recently cleaning out my "junk" closet and found this old frame and wooden 4th of July sign that I found at a thrift store. When I laid them aside to basically get rid of them inspiration struck me and I had to use them for this month's challenge. The black arrow is a little tag I had bought.
I removed the picture from the frame to use later and then painted the frame with a cream color.
While the paint was drying I began wrapping the heart with twine - one of my favorite mediums to work with.
I then wrapped the picture with some Paris print fabric I had. Added all the pieces together and this is what I came up with. A very vintage valentine for the wall or you could sit on a table with some frilly peonies in an ironstone pitcher.
