We use a tile cutter and my husband puts tape around it first....Best thing we have ever used!

Though I've not tried it, yet, I recently read here on HT where a young lady used her wet saw made for tile and it worked perfectly. Karen's idea of taping it first is a good idea.

You can buy a bottle cutter at a craft shop or online.
