How We Added Legs to Our Kitchen Island

Hey friends! Today, I wanted to show you some progress we have made in our kitchen. We installed new island legs on our island! We completed this project during the week between Christmas and New Years. Today I will show you how we installed them. We are no furniture DIY pros, let me just tell you that up front. This is how we got it done, and although it might not be perfect, it is very sturdy, and it looks great! I can’t wait for the next step of this makeover, which will be adding a slightly larger rustic wood top.
This kitchen island now looks completely different with these gorgeous new island legs from Osborne Wood Products! The legs we chose are the Concord Kitchen Island legs in soft maple. They have the most beautiful selection of legs. We used a paint sprayer to paint these legs, and I will be sharing a post about that process soon.
Let me start by showing you the before of the kitchen island. This is the way it looked when we bought the house. It's certainly come a long way, hasn't it?
After we added the legs, we then added an apron around all three sides, and some trim right at the top of each of the legs to give it a more finished look.
What a change this island makes in the appearance of our kitchen! You can read the full tutorial for how we added the legs by clicking the link to my blog. Don't you think it will look amazing with a rustic wood top? I can't wait to get started!
