This house was my flip #2...NO curb appeal!
When I first bought this 1974 foreclosure, it had a hideous carport, overgrown shrubs, and absolutely no curb appeal.
The finished project
I purchased a couple 16' boards of cedar at Lowe's. I don't own a saw, so I carefully measured each window before going to Lowe's. They will cut the boards for free, so I had them cut each board with my measurements.
Simple shutters= CURB APPEAL!
After I got home with my cut boards, I stained each board. After drying, I used liquid nails between the boards and used a clasp to hold in place until they were dry. Once they were dry, I added a small board on top and screwed it into the three boards for further support. Once the shutters were complete, I used masonry screws to attach to the brick wall. I created 6 total shutters for less than $100!
