Warm light paint colors

Dee

I have to paint two dark bedrooms (only 1 small window each). Any suggestions for a warm color that's also light in tone? Thanks!

I would research Behr.com for a visual on paints colors. There are not exact but will give you a start on choosing colors that please you.

You can use any color that has a yellow undertone. Peachy pinks, turquoise, off whites to tans. The Moons the limit....LOL

Hi we have just moved to an old 1947 house and the hall and two of the bedrooms were dark especially the hall stairs and landing so we used little green paint company product. We used slaked lime on the ceiling and paintwork and Pearl colour 168 on the walls and it was amazing how the house came to light and the colour is not cold in fact I was a little unsure if I had made the right choice but as soon as I arrived home when the decorator had put the paint in one room I was delighted I can send a picture if you would like

You can really choose any color that you like and just do a lighter shade of it. Also consider the lighting in the room. Maybe adding some additional light through floor lamps, table lamps, etc. can help brighten things up. Also remember you can brighten the space by the fabrics you choose. Maybe white window treatments and painting out wall trim, doors, door trim, and window trim white will also help make things brighter. Not sure what type or color of flooring is in these rooms but keeping that lighter will also help. So if there is dark flooring or carpet maybe add a lighter toned area rug.

We used Cincinnation Hotel Carl Tan.....I think it's Valspar, but it could be Olympic...which are the 2 brands we used in our home re-do.... It's a pretty, creamy light/medium tan...we love it-- Best of luck~

Painted rooms in an 1860's villa in a colour called Buttermilk. Neutral, light but warm, and quite an easy colour that you can match other decor ideas to. Paint shop mixed it up but it was from a reputable paint brands brochure. Done 23 years ago and still looks fresh! I did the window and door frames a soft white.

Sounds perfect. Would you by any chance know who makes it? I've looked at a couple of website for paint brands and can't find a "buttermilk" color. Really appreciate it!
