I bought some artichoke starters and I am going to try and grow them here in Littleton Co. any hints tips I have googled some info some say hard some say grow in large containers ? Thanks Linda lou

    Linda, the artichokes I have seen growing were BIG, so you would need to have large containers. Here are some growing tips from Colorado State: http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/CoopExt/4DMG/VegFruit/artichok.htm

    Thanks Doug that was a great link I did buy the Imperials so they will produce this summer... We get to cold for them to come back next season but that's o.k....good gardening to you !

    Good luck, Linda. I love the idea of being able to grow your own artichokes. It sounds so Mediterranean.

    well Littleton Co. is desert so this could be challenging :) I wonder if they need to be grown together or can I plant them all thru my gardens ? They are a stunning plant I think...
