Create an Awesomely Oversized Faux Metallic Alphabet Letter

WOW! I'm just so excited about this I joined eight other bloggers to tackle the theme 'Metallic'... It took me a while to figure out what I was going to do to rise to this challenge, but once I settled on an idea, it quickly B-came one of my favorite and quirkiest projects to date. (Get it? B-came?? haha)
Alright - so I started with this plain piece of plywood. Using a pencil, I traced a giant B using the x's as a guide.
Using my jigsaw, I carefully cut around my B. It's a good idea to call in reinforcements to help you hold down your letter for this part.


Et voila! Two coats of metallic spray paint and then a little bit of buffing with dark furniture glaze, and my B-eautiful B is now on the wall in our family room! See? Told you it's quirky!! :) Thanks for reading! For more on this project, including the big B reveal check out our blog link below!

    I am very new to crafting, so I don't understand how you used the X's on the board to trace a small "B" into a larger one.
