Playful Colors for Kids

Country Chic Paint

Heidi from Lily Field Furniture used Devotion, Vanilla Frosting, and a chalkboard finish to create this bright, fun, and functional playroom furniture. Read on to learn more about how she achieved this look!
BEFORE:
Hi guys! Heidi here from Lily Field Furniture Co. I have a fun makeover for you today!

One of my clients was gifted this kids table set and contacted me to update the look for her kiddos.

To prep the furniture I cleaned it with mineral spirits. With kids furniture you never know what gunk is caked on and it’s better to do a little extra prep up front. After cleaning I lightly sanded with 120 grit sandpaper just to take a little of the shine off.

For the color, we decided to use Vanilla Frosting for the table legs and a chalkboard finish for the top. We decided to use a fun pop of color on the chairs and Devotion was the perfect choice! I just love how it turned out!

@Jacalyn It's so true! They're going to make some wonderful memories with this table I'm sure.

This is SO cool and the kids are gonna love just using the table as a slate board and NOT to worry. Love the idea!! I like the table outfit they were gifted and the pretty pink you chose.
