I'm posting a small tour of our home filled with my DIY for Valentine's Day.

My Mantel - yes, I tend to keep a few snowman/winter things out for the winter months (more on that on another post). I made my button candle holder. http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/button-art-candle-holder-13595439
Heart picture - Blank canvas with painter's tape to create the letters and heart. The kids and I painted red and pink acrylic paint randomly all over it. Once it dried I sprayed a little Krylon glitter blast spray on it. I waited for it to dry completely and peeled off the painter's tape.
Easy mobile - pinch rod holds it in the window, & fishline holds all the items to the pinch rod. Heart cookie cutters, $1 for 3 at Target. I bought red wire and red beads for $1 each at Walmart. For the one on the left, I put the beads on the wire, cut it and twisted it off, and formed it into a heart shape. For the one on the right I bent one wire in a heart and tied it off, then I took a second wire and threaded beads onto it and twisted and zig zagged it around the wire.
For the Vase/Candle holder - I wrapped the holder with shelf paper with a heart cut out on it. I sprayed the open heart space with Frosted Glass spray paint. Once it dried I added some heart jewel stickers to it, and filled it with clearance red Christmas bulbs.
The pillow cover - red pillow cover from IKEA and white stick felt. I traced letters onto the stick felt, cut them out, and put them on the pillow case.
On the right side of the candle holder with in the heart table scatter you can see a white and pink plastic heart... I put a bunch of plastic crystal shaped plastic beads into a greased cookie cutter and melted them on parchment paper in an oven.
Glass block with added gel window clings.
