Get Rid of the "Brass From the Past": How to Paint a Brass Fireplace

Bright Green Door
by Bright Green Door
Recently we moved into a beautiful 70's home with a beautiful living room and fireplace. Nothing had been updated for years and the brass made the fireplace look super dated.
Thankfully, painting the fireplace was as simple as a can of spray paint and about an hour of time.

Along with painting the brass fireplace, we also painting all of the wood paneling and built ins in the room. All together we spent less than $100 for a dramatic transformation!
Now this modern fireplace is the highlight of our room! If you've got "Brass from the Past" in your home now you know how simple it is to get rid of!
